Futurepreneurs
Futurepreneurs 10.0 is E-Cell VIT Vellore's flagship business simulation, and its site gets read once, fast, on a phone, by somebody deciding whether to bother. Everything on the page competes with the only fact that changes their mind, so the countdown leads and the copy follows it.

(About)
A tenth edition has to look like one, and fest-poster maximalism is exactly what makes a student event look like a student event.
Nobody reads an event site. They scan it on a phone, between two other things, and they leave with a single fact: whether they have missed it yet.
So the page is built around that one fact rather than around the event. Everything else on it, the format, the prizes, the story of nine previous editions, is there for the person the clock has already convinced.

(Challenge)
A campus event site is read once, fast, on a phone, usually while somebody is deciding whether to bother. Everything on it competes with the one thing that matters: the deadline.
A tenth edition also has to look like one. The easy version is fest-poster maximalism, which is exactly what makes a student event look like a student event.
And it had to be run by students. A multi-week campaign means the content changes constantly, with no developer on call to ship any of it.
(Solution)
Lead with the countdown, not the copy. The clock is the first thing on the page, and from anywhere else on it the deadline is never more than a scroll away.
Five dates get their own visual system, so the timeline reads as a sequence rather than a list, and one accent colour carries the whole page where a fest poster would have used ten.
Built in Framer, so the team could run the entire campaign themselves and keep changing the site right up to the morning of the event.
