Yantra
Yantra is a week of technical events, workshops and hackathons at VIT, and until this there was no single place to see what was on or sign up for any of it. A page that only lists things reads like a timetable, so the front door was built as a 3D environment you walk into instead.

A timetable tells you what is happening, it does not give you a reason to turn up.
A technical fest is competing for a week of a student's life against lectures, deadlines and every other club running something on the same days. Accuracy is the easy half of that argument.
The harder half is making a week look worth clearing a calendar for, and nothing about a table of dates has ever done that. So the listing stayed underneath, and the front of the site became somewhere you arrive.

Yantra runs a week of technical events, workshops and hackathons, spread across formats and audiences. There was no single place for a student to see what was on and sign up for it.
The information problem is only half of it. A page that lists everything accurately still reads like a timetable, and a timetable is not a reason to turn up.
Everything on it is competing with a week a student has already filled: lectures, deadlines, and every other club running something on the same seven days.
(Solution)
A 3D interactive environment as the front door, so the fest is something you walk into rather than something you scroll past. The experience does the persuading.
Behind it, a unified portal covering technical events, workshops and hackathons in one place, so the moment somebody is convinced, signing up takes seconds.
The spectacle is at the front and the work is underneath it, which is the only arrangement where neither one gets in the other's way.
